Thanks for the tips Dr Berg. Here are some of the highlights: 1. Eat Only When Hungry: Avoid the habit of eating out of boredom or routine. 2. Drink When Thirsty: Understand that hydration needs may vary; avoid excessive drinking. 3. Try Different Diets: Experiment with various eating plans to discover what works best for you. 4. Intermittent Fasting: Match your eating frequency to your body’s natural rhythms for better health benefits. 5. Importance of Vitamin D: Monitor vitamin D levels as it plays a crucial role in overall health and recovery. 6. Focus on Strength Training: Prioritize weight training to prevent muscle atrophy and maintain hormonal balance. 7. Invest in Water Quality: Use a good water filter to eliminate contaminants for better health. Key Insights: 1. Mindful Eating: The practice of eating only when hungry helps foster a better relationship with food, preventing compulsive eating habits. This insight reveals that greater awareness of hunger cues can benefit overall health and weight management. 2. Thirst Awareness: The recommendation to drink only when thirsty challenges conventional hydration advice and underscores the importance of listening to your body’s needs rather than adhering to arbitrary guidelines about liquid intake. 3. Personalized Diet Approaches: Encouraging experimentation with various diets allows individuals to discover what nutrients and foods enhance their personal health. This individualized approach may lead to sustainable long-term dietary habits. 4. Cycle of Eating: Intermittent fasting has gained popularity for its various metabolic benefits. The connection between meal timing and metabolic health implies a deeper understanding of when and how to eat for optimal well-being. 5. Insulin Control: Monitoring fasting insulin levels can provide crucial insights into potential diabetes risk, making it an essential aspect of preventative health care that is often overlooked in routine tests. 6. Vitamin D’s Role: Adequate vitamin D levels are intimately linked with numerous health outcomes, including immune function and mental health, particularly during pregnancy and recovery from surgery. 7. Water Quality Matters: The emphasized need for water filtration highlights the often-ignored fact that contaminants in tap water can pose serious health risks, advocating for proactive measures in maintaining water safety. Hope this helps! 😊
Because of you I started strict keto with intermittent and multi-day fasting last July. I added L. Reuteri/Gasseri ferment when you introduced Dr. Davis. I am 63 yrs old and off of all 17 medications that built up over 25 years, I have now lost 56 pounds, and the inflammation causing 4 autoimmune diagnoses is gone. Last year at this time size 14, today size 4!!! I can never say Thank You enough times, Dr. Berg!!
The best tip of all time is to watch a daily Dr. Berg video! 💙
My dad was rushed to ER earlier this week as he couldn’t read words (he told me he didn’t understand what the letters were or what he was even looking at). Mom asked him questions about popular topics today & it took him 20 minutes to answer. He has stage II kidney disease & told me the Dr says he needs to avoid potassium & is on low-sodium diet. He increased his water intake this past week & ended up in the ER. Immediate blood tests came back “too low on sodium.” He’s following their orders for this. I suggested adding just a pinch of organic sea salts to his water & he will notice a big change. He asked about Gatorade and I said ABSOLUTELY NOT! The label says zero sugar but it’s loaded with sugar. Long story to share too much water will dilute essential electrolytes. My dad is late 80s & the generation of trusting the medical professionals. He’s home and celebrating Easter with a big smile & happy heart. Many thanks. Dr Berg!
