Say goodbye to sciatic nerve pain by addressing 3 nutrient deficiencies and incorporating 2 simple sciatica exercises. 0:00 Introduction: 3 nutrient deficiencies behind sciatica 0:39 The sciatic nerve 1:30 Surgery for sciatic nerve pain 2:19 Sciatic pain and vitamin D 4:21 Magnesium deficiency and sciatica 5:40 Vitamin B12 and sciatic nerve pain 7:30 Sciatica pain relief exercises Today, I’m going to share a few natural sciatica pain remedies! The sciatic nerve is the longest and largest nerve in the body. It extends from the lower back, down the back of the leg, to the bottom of the foot. Surgery for sciatica can cause side effects like failed back surgery syndrome. Because 90% of sciatica pain will often resolve by itself, invasive procedures are best saved as a last resort. Sciatic pain often gets worse in the winter, which would explain why vitamin D deficiency is a major contributor. If you’re dealing with inflammation, you need high amounts of vitamin D daily. Vitamin D is a potent anti-inflammatory and works similarly to Prednisone without the side effects. It helps to repair the nerves, disc, connective tissue, and muscles involved with sciatica. Magnesium deficiency can also contribute to sciatica because it’s essential for keeping your muscles relaxed. You also need adequate magnesium for vitamin D to work in the body. Vitamin B12 is involved with several aspects of the nervous system and can cause numbness, tingling, and burning pain if you’re deficient. It’s highly anti-inflammatory, and a deficiency can also contribute to sciatica. Most people don't get enough sun, so unless you’re taking 10,000 IU of vitamin D each day, you could end up deficient. If you have sciatica, try upping your dose of vitamin D3 to 20,000 to 30,000 IU daily. When using high doses of vitamin D, always check with your doctor. High doses of vitamin D can increase blood/urine calcium levels resulting in calcium deposits in the kidney. Also drink 2.5 liters of fluids per day, take cofactors with vitamin D (magnesium, K2 and zinc) and have your doctor monitor your PTH, vitamin D blood levels and creatinine and avoid excess calcium supplements of high calcium foods when taking vitamin D levels over 10,000 IUs. Around 800 mg of magnesium each day can be beneficial for sciatica. Sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, chocolate, almonds, leafy greens, bone broth, and spinach are good food sources of magnesium. Red meat and other animal products provide plenty of vitamin B12. Try these simple sciatica exercises focused on stretching the fascia to say goodbye to your sciatic nerve pain! My wife had bad sciatica for most of 2018. Doctors could only prescribe painkillers. Surgery mentioned. I looked at her blood labs results. One single note from a lab suggested a vitamin D deficiency. Against advice, we gave her 4000IU D3, some K2, magnesium and turmeric daily. Within 3 weeks her pain was gone and had stopped her meds. More Xrays later showed her back and spine had healed.

I take all of these vitamins and I’m sure they help with my sciatica, but there’s one thing that takes the sciatic pain completely away. I find that if I eat sugar, I retain water and the pain returns. If I stay away from sugar, I lose my water retention, and the pain goes away

I spent 26 yrs in the Navy as an Aircrewman on P-3 Orion aircraft. My back took quite a punishment over the years. Now my lower spine(L4,L5,S1) is fused and I have been living with unbearable pain for the last 3 years. Thank God I found this channel and started following your recommendations. I’ve been following your advice. Been fasting and taking your electrolyte and K2 D3 supplements. Since I’ve started keto and cut all the garbage out of my diet I went from 238 lbs to 208 lbs. The first couple of days were brutal for me but the electrolytes and K2 D3 supplements helped as did the BP coffee! Now I feel like all of my inflamation is gone, I’ve been walking 90 min a day( I could barely walk 1/2 a mile). Anyways, I’m feeling soooo much better and I really wanted to thank you for all of the amazing life changing advice! God Bless you Dr. Berg!

Dr. Berg I hope you can read this and know how thankful I am for your channel and vast knowledge. I’ve had back pain that radiated to my leg for almost 3 months. Saw a chiropractor, orthopedic surgeon, had physical therapy and so many other stuff. Nothing worked. Then I saw your video, started taking all the supplements you recommended and bum! In 2 weeks I was pain free! You have not only helped my pain but my confidence and self esteem. I am a very active person and being unable to walk made me so depressed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Thank You Doctor. I have been suffering from Sacralilitis and Pelvic Neuropathy for 9 years now. I'm now a Disabled Nurse because of it. I've had numerous injections in my back, obturator nerve and intravaginally with only a few months relief each time (82 injections so far). I was diagnosed with Vitamin D Insufficiency 10 years ago and was put on 20,000 IU of Vitamin D and now I take 2,000 units four times a week and 1,000 units three times a week. My Labs for Vitamin D, Magnesium and Potassium are all Within Normal Limits (had them done last week and get them every 6 months per my PCP. I supplement Potassium and Magnesium.). I live in EXTREME PAIN 24-7 but I keep moving as much as I can using a cane but need to lay down at least every 1-2 hours for relief. Surgery has NEVER been brought up to me. My Cause they say is because I have a 20 year old Pelvic Mesh they tried to Surgically Remove but could not. They said that the 4 Anchors were wrapped in Nerves like Grape Vines. My Pelvic Prolapse is back but it's not a problem. I wish more Women understand that Prolapse is a condition They CAN LIVE WITH rather than taking a chance having it repaired and ending up like Me!!!!! I was considering getting a Consultation with The Ketamine Clinic we have here in Rochester NY. Could You please do a Video on Your feelings regarding Ketamine Infusions for Chronic Debilitating Pain Relief when nothing else has worked? I will start trying the Exercises tomorrow that You Recommend In This Video, I can already tell they will be very painful for me but I'm going to do them!!! I do sometimes lay in bed with my legs up on my Yoga Ball, that feels good but mostly I lay on My Right Side. FYI, X-Ray results just showed that I need to have a Left Hip Replacement. Will that make My Sacralilitis Worse IF I decide to have the surgery??? I also have Osteoarthritis as it runs in Both Sides of My Family. I'm just a hot mess at 62. It's been horrible for Me because I've worked since I was age 13, I have a home and yard to care for and I've had My 87 year old Mother with Me the past 6 years as She has Alzheimer's Dementia with Psychosis. Thank You for taking the time to read this. I Appreciate You!!! Western Upstate NY Here ❤ Also... I'm Sorry For Anyone Suffering From Pain 🙌❤️.

I sent this vid to a new friend. She messaged me and said she had missed work and been in bed for 4 days! 2 days after watching the video, she sent me this and said I like that he wasn’t selling anything: When I tell you that I have been taking the vitamins D, B12, and magnesium and a multivitamin for 2 days and my back pain is gone! And I’ve done the stretches that he recommends! Again thank you. That message was a God send?
