That Doorman episode was so good. It felt like watching one of those episodes from Atlanta. I almost forgot what show I was watching.
It did have a supervillain - Joey Pants!
No prison can hold Trevor Slattery!!!
Dropping it all at once I think helped. Paul mentioned it started slow, and if it was week to week I think it would have turned ppl off
The show is about acting and brotherhood. It's perfect for me... 🥺🥺🥺🥰
My favorite Easter Egg is Simon continuing to drive his father's car as another example of him not wanting to give up something that reminds him of his dad.
Another recurring theme in the show was how Trevor’s low point in his past was tied to his addiction to substances and how the villain of the show was holding him hostage over those past mistakes. Really appreciated how Simon was able to see past those mistakes.
The quality of the show shocked me. Where was this a couple years ago?!? Great acting. Great writing. Well directed…
I'm more invested in the friendship between Simon and Trevor than anything else in the MCU right now. The smaller and more personal the stakes are, the more tension there is. When a super villain threatens to blow up the earth, you know it's not going to happen. But when Simon is afraid of his secret getting out and ruining his life, that threat is real. You know that Simon's secret can get out and you get invested in his struggle.
