In the land of remakes, reboots, prequels and sequels it’s rare that a film can cut through the noise. However after seeing F1 I feel like there’s been a bit of faith renewed for me in the industry and that we might be going through an adjustment period where the creatives figure it out. Just like the story in the film itself, F1 feels like the meshing of old and new styles to drive forward and bring us something I think a lot of people will love. - Now it takes a lot for me to go out to the cinema these days. Which yeah…sounds ridiculous to say when I run a movie youtube channel. However this is down to a couple of factors. Firstly I’ve had twins and thus its difficult to just drop stuff and then head off to the cinema like I used to. In the short free time me and my wife get together I’d rather spend it with her than rushing off to the cinema to see something that…will probably be out digitally in two weeks. Because of this stupidity mate…I missed Top Gun Maverick at the cinema which is one of my biggest regrets at the channel.
