This character was so good that they keep giving him this same role over and over in almost everything he has done ever since.
One thing that I've noticed about Gustavo's voice is that when he grows more upset, his accent becomes more prominent.

I love how Gus' ego lead to his undoing in much the same way Walt's did. As soon as Walt said to Gus "you are a very cautious man, I believe we are alike in that way" Gus could not and would not let that slide. If he had just kept up the charade and not indulged Walt... Well, we wouldn't have had a show but you know what I mean.
I always felt like we didn’t get enough time with Gus Fring in Breaking Bad. I’m so glad Giancarlo Esposito was able to come back for Better Call Saul and really round out the character and let us stew in his story for a while.
*"Someone who observed more than he spoke" 🔥🔥🔥🔥*
This video is up to Los Pollos Hermanos standards.
I remember the first time I heard him say "I don't think we are alike at all" and I was absolutely gobsmacked... he played the fast food manager role so perfectly that we had NO IDEA he was a drug lord
"Jesse Pinkman with a stache isnt real, he cant hurt you" *Jesse Pinkman with a stache:* 2:06
I do wish they let Giancarlo play other roles besides "do Gus Fring again" because the man has the range to do other interesting roles (he was "Buggin Out" in Do the Right Thing). But it's a testament to how iconic of a performance Gus Fring is that the man is now typecast into playing Gus Fring-like roles.
