Description

In Michigan, 69-year-old Betsy McIntyre called 911 on herself after fatally stabbing her husband of 48 years, later found dead in a pool of blood near their home. When deputies arrived, Betsy refused to come out, eventually crawling from a shed where she was arrested and tearfully confessed, saying she “should’ve just divorced him.” She later pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison, meaning she won’t be eligible for parole until she’s nearly 90 years old. I'm 64 and if told to crawl at gunpoint I suppose I would just have to take a bullet.

Lets also think of the fact there could most definitely be some early dementia or some other mental decline. My uncle had early dementia..he was one of the most gentle souls i have ever known. He was 73 and one day just lashed out horribly and it was a sign of early dementia . Not everyone acts like this but there can be other factors outside of just being eveil when you're dealing with the elderly and something like this that is outside of their normal behaviour.

Her cry was gutteral- I know that pain- lovimg someone and yet that person you love is cruel-it's ther illness, but it affects you for life. I'm talking about my mom, not a husband.
