This New Statue Of Tina Turner Is HILARIOUSLY Bad
Critique of Modern Artistry Through Failed Statue Tribute: The 40,000-Year Regression
See why critics claim modern sculptural skills have regressed 40,000 years using the widely ridiculed Tina Turner tribute as the primary example.
Short Summary
- Fans widely condemned the recently unveiled 10-foot bronze statue of Tina Turner in her hometown for its poor resemblance.
- The speaker argues this failure is symptomatic of a massive regression in artistic skill, comparing it unfavorably to Roman sculpture created 2,000 years ago.
- Evidence suggests modern capability mirrors only early Paleolithic art, indicating essential artistic techniques have been lost globally.
- This segment critiques modern public art while promoting sponsors whose reliability contrasts sharply with artistic decline.
This discussion examines the recent backlash against a poorly received statue honoring Tina Turner. The host uses this controversy to argue a broader, distressing point: that contemporary artistic abilities, especially in sculpting, have severely declined compared to ancient civilizations, suggesting a regression comparable to the Stone Age.

“What’s art got to do with it?”
So sad that they think this reflects Tina Turner. Awful.
You have to remember that someone duct-taping a banana onto a wall qualifies as art these days. Stories like this are what led to the downfall of artistic standards.
That thing is horrifying!
Tina Turner's descendants ought to sue this guy. It's an insult, not a tribute.
I took a screen shot of the zoom in and asked my sisters to guess who it was and they said “Michelle Obama?” One sister guessed it correctly but she’s not happy with the statue 😂
There are actually people who can make quality art, but they just can't get the big commissions for some MYSTERIOUS reason.
Looks like a Karine Jean Pierre.
Don't expect much in an era where taping a banana to a wall is called art.
It's insulting to the woman. It shouldn't be displayed.
