We Need To Talk About The Nigerian Christian Genocide | Ep. 1685
Analyzing Foreign Aid Failures, Domestic Welfare Dependency, and Elite Disconnect
Discover why US foreign aid fails to stabilize nations like Nigeria while domestic welfare programs encourage permanent dependency, and learn what the collapse of Canadian institutions warns the US to avoid.
Short Summary
- The US sends billions to Nigeria, yet 63% of the population remains multi-dimensionally poor while Christians face escalating persecution.
- Welfare programs function as comfortable "hammocks" designed for perpetual dependence rather than temporary "safety nets."
- Elite figures like Michelle Obama showcase a profound disconnect by complaining about hardship despite enjoying extreme generational privilege.
- Indicators like massive ESL enrollment skew in Canadian schools serve as a urgent warning for impending US systemic breakdown.
This episode dissects perceived policy failures abroad, exemplified by the ongoing slaughter of Nigerian Christians despite massive US financial involvement. It then pivots to scrutinize domestic welfare structures, arguing they are intentionally designed to breed dependency. Finally, it uses observations from Canada’s decaying infrastructure and educational systems to illustrate the dangers of declining national identity and apathy.

Who are we kidding? "Foreign aid" goes straight into the pockets of corrupt politicians. They set up front groups to launder it and gift it to themselves. We are financing corruption worldwide and it needs to end yesterday.
As a Canadian: 1. our anthem is great 2. I love this nation 3. We are cooked as a country and on the road to complete annihilation
When I realized there was a problem, I was in line at the market in Texas. And I realized I was the only one speaking English and I was the only one paying for my own groceries. That just didn’t seem right. I don’t want anyone to go hungry, but everyone seemed to be well dressed and driving a good car. Just makes me wonder if they were really needy.
Nigerians have been saying for years, that money should not be sent there. The money goes to Nigerian politicians and American dealers.
Same thing happening in Sudan. Muslims fighting Muslims but both sides killing every Christian they can find, yet it's "not a genocide of Christians."

Hey Matt. I am Nigerian and Catholic and have been following you for years. I appreciate you for covering the situation in my country. Our government is too busy trying to cover up their ineptitude
I felt guilty being on welfare for an 8 month stretch 30 years ago. I did everything in my power to get off it as quickly as I could.
My brother, who I didn't grow up and is literally the polar opposite of me, has been on benefits his entire life and is "disabled", yet is 1000% capable of working and chooses not to, because since he grew up in Cali, he's completely dependent on the state as his parent and won't even consider compromising his measly 700ish a month and food stamps. Meanwhile, I have FOUR children, and don't take a dime from the government. It sickens me personally.
Welfare is giving without generosity, receiving without gratitude!
