I've thrifted most of my high end kitchen equipment. Several knives and $4000 worth of French copper cookware for under $200. There are definitely great finds out there
"A poor craftsman blames the eye of the beholder." Way more legitimate than Josh played it off to be.
As someone who works in a goodwill store my tips are to check out the ones that are in or close to high income areas. Preferably not run by big chains and you can make some serious finds for no money at all. But I would'nt go there to stock up the stuff I absolutely have to have today. It's more of a treasure hunt to upgrade the stuff you have for dirt cheap :)
I really appreciate Josh's sentiment of "good enough". I like cooking and do most of it for our family, but my skills will never be $300 knife worthy and that is just fine! The regular Target knife is good enough and will get the job done perfectly. Thanks for reinforcing that for others, Josh!
Josh using a metal whisk (even though he addresses it) in that nonstick pan is making me feel like my mom is about to slap me at any second.

Did they thrift a Dollar tree $1.25 knife for $9 at Goodwill? Because that damn well looks like they just thrifted a a $1.25 knife from Dollar tree😂😂😂😂😂😂
As someone who loves to cook but is in college and so i have thrifted all my kitchen stuff, this is reassuring. I love how not elitist Josh is, its cool to have him be a role model for aspiring chefs who also shows that cooking doesn't have to bankrupt you. Also, I don't cook meat, my safeway knives cut tofu fine so i don't need those fancy knives, this is great. the only difference was the meat knife cuts and that doesn't affect me, so i feel great.
you got ripped off paying $9 for a $1 knife
Now, walk into the club like, "What up? I got a big pot" Nah, I'm just pumped, I bought some dishes from a thrift shop
