Japan Takes the Lead: Parliamentary Action and US Intelligence Tensions on UAPs

Discover why Japanese politicians, including the Prime Minister, are treating UAPs as a genuine national security priority while questioning US secrecy. You will learn the specific demands Japan’s newly formed UFO League placed on its government and the historical evidence fueling allied distrust.

Short Summary

  • The Japanese Parliament established a serious UFO League demanding official UAP office creation and public disclosure.
  • Key leaders, including PM Ishiba, openly accept the possibility of non-human intelligence impacting security planning.
  • Historical incidents, like the JAL 1628 sighting, raise concerns that US intelligence agencies actively suppress data from Japan.
  • The US views Japan as a UAP "hotspot," possibly because American forces are detecting phenomena military officials are not officially sharing with Tokyo.

Host Ross Coulthart interviews former Defense Minister Yasu Kazu Hamada and politician Yoshiharu Asakawa regarding their legislative initiative on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs). This discussion contrasts Japan’s proactive political stance with the often contradictory explanations offered by Western governments, highlighting anxieties over intelligence sharing and national defense preparedness.

As a Japanese citizen living near Nagasaki, this is an awesome interview! Thank you, Ross/NewsNation and NicoNico, for shedding light on this subject. Just as the U.S., Japanese mainstream media do not cover this subject, except for networks like Niconico. I am impressed that ministers attended this interview. I do hope they will bring more transparency to the subject of UAP.

That Japan flight over Alaska in 1986 was one of the best UFO cases in history. It's one of the main cases that convince me of NHI.

When I was 16 and cycling home through the polder here in the Netherlands with a friend, we saw two large white orbs. We thought they were bright stars. We kept looking because they were really low on the horizon. Suddenly they switched from horizontally next to each other to vertically above each other in a fraction of a second. Then they came closer and closer. When they were almost above us, they made a circle with a beam of different colored lights and suddenly it flew away like an airplane. This was really very strange and no one believed us.

Magnificent podcast, and work Ross Coulthart. A stark difference in openness and honesty that the US should be ashamed of. Well done.
