WOW. You know, I've been enjoying this series so far. But, I won't lie, a part of me was curious why so many people I knew held this up as one of THE great kids shows of the 2000s. Are the characters well thought-out? Yes. Are the stories fun and interesting? Sure. But, I never felt that it had the same sauce as something like ATLA. This finale changes that. I see the light. I think had I grown up watching this season in real time I might have genuinely been a very different person haha. But, as is, I still have to give props for the way they managed to not just deliver on this story, but go above and beyond. I am so impressed with the way the handled both the good and bad sides of Terra's story. She was a traitor and a true friend. But you know the most amazing part? We aren't even halfway through.

Lord, the opening with Slade is so creepy, They are basically doing a grooming part without all of the SA. He's talking about her swearing loyalty to him in the same way as in a marriage proposal, urgh, it's so gross.

THIS is why Terra's parts are the most memorable to me. What a way to go. And Slade being played as such an insidious abuser really does make him the perfect villain for superhero teenagers

I never realized because I hadn’t seen the show since I was a kid…but the wording from Slade is so insane to hear in a kids show especially knowing the context. “Nothing she didn’t want me to” holy crap
