The plate bit is the fact that BEAST BOY IS A PLATE, if Mumbo drops him, he could maybe die. It's a threat. Worried more for the dudes act.

I'm gonna nerd out for a second. Moths and butterflies metamorphosize through liquefaction. So silky being able to reconstitute itself out of its own goo, actually, is much more realistic than it sounds.
