Beast Boy has been wearing another team’s uniform the entire time, but I imagine it’s hard for him to come across a fabric that disappears when he turns into an animal and returns when he turns back into a human.
“Is there such a thing as being addicted to martyrdom?” It is literally called a Martyr Complex.
Beast boy was actually in the doom patrol first in comics, I don’t remember the exact origin, but basically the doom patrol comic was canceled and then brought back with some new characters beast boy being introduced in that “newer” version
The way the doom patrol are portrayed is probably in reference to the fact that they are most famous for killing themselves.
Don't forget about the Teen Titan movie Teen Titans Trouble in Tokyo
honestly the sun tzu joke is even funnier because the art of war wasn't a book of masterful strategy, it was basically the equivalent of a "war for dummies" book to teach out of touch nobles that they actually need to feed soldiers and that there's more to war than just sending wave after wave of soldiers without a plan.
26:14 I need Nikhil to know that Brain and Malla are a couple in the comics
7:30 Beast Boy's child hood / backstory is *hysterically* messed up. If you ever get a chance definitely look it up, though there's a chance you might end up seeing a version of it anyway.
Doom Patrol does have long and proud history of dying in tragic ways and than surviving somehow
27:27 It does make sense actually, Mento was Beast Boy’s example of what NOT to do as an affective hero. That’s why Beast Boy turned out ok!
