One thing that should not be overlooked in deciding to relocate or not, is the possibility of becoming unwelcome in the country you choose. When humans feel their existence is threatened or they see you have more wealth while they lose everything, you become a target.
I feel like Singapore is the place you put your business in if you need an office with good infra and strong transparent law. Not a place to live. No problem about lifestyle, but it's something you'll get used to real quick.
Race and nationality play an important role towards Permanent Residency and Citizenship. More than half the PR and Citizenship approvals are Malaysian Chinese people with modest incomes.
After 3 years working in Singapore, the cabin fever gets to you very quick. The heat and humidity is not the only thing that is suffocating ...
Expats get it wrong....Singapore is not a 2nd Home, it's a 2nd Office. Treat Singapore like you are living at the office for a massive project to earn enough for years .
I think the days of Americans been able to go anywhere and be safe and wanted are coming to an end , very fast
I am a not a rich Singsporean and I see comments asking people not to come because cost is high. If you want to own a car, buy branded goods, eat at high end restaurants, of course cost is high.
Singapore Personal Income Tax is miles miles way easier to lodge unlike as in Oz..In SG it is very streamlined as they pretty much already know your financials and you just have to hit the submit button unless there are changes..3-5 mins work …speaking from personal experience. Of course, the of living is expensive, everything works and convenient, good schools, good banking, healthcare…very hard to get in but perhaps good if you are pretty wealthy
Singapore is the best place for people who can work and don’t need drugs to feel good
