The exit tax from the US is very punitive
Well spoken sir, I am an US Ex Pat
Great analogy about an abusive partner. No one would/should tolerate it in any form. Especially when it comes to expecting basic liberties.
Another dynamic is children. We are shopping for a citizenship in a HEALTHY society - no obsession over money/credit, family structures in place, minimal social media addictions, and a government with light touch/soft freedoms....as a way to plant our kids there. So far, Colombia is winning.
Wow sir, that was very well-construed and presented. I have thought very similar ideas about our preferences for relationships with people and our governments. Some people simply move on from abuses, and away from them. Let’s hope to see more of this happening.
A very beautiful thing: variation in formations.
I mean there are multiple countries where you could be a citizen which would need to impose a tax at all before they could even think about imposing a tax on citizens abroad.
A Stand on Business Gentleman. Quite rare these days.
