Why Every Brit Should Move to Italy
Mitigating UK Tax Burden: Leveraging Italy and Global Jurisdictions for Wealth Protection
Discover actionable strategies to drastically cut your tax burden and escape political instability by strategically relocating your residency and assets outside of declining Western nations.
Short Summary
- Achieve 70–80% tax reduction by leveraging favorable residency programs in favored European nations like Italy.
- Secure an accessible European Union passport by making a strategic, decade-long commitment to a favorable jurisdiction.
- Protect retained corporate wealth by structuring your business offshore in 0% tax environments while paying a flat rate personally.
This discussion outlines why the UK is losing its stability and why wealthy residents should move overseas. It focuses heavily on Italy’s €200,000 lump-sum tax incentive as a pathway to EU citizenship and superior lifestyle, contrasting it with global alternatives like Uruguay and Dubai.

I'm Italian. If you want to come here for the art, the climate, the landscapes, the culture, that's fine, but you need to have already made your money. If you want to come here to work, forget it. Politics, work, and bureaucracy are a disaster.
I'm a British citizen. If you can afford to leave and have somewhere to go to, you should. The decline is going to continue unabated.
As they say in London, Allahu Akbar
I’m from Italy. Only go there for vacation. Forget living there.
I moved too Italy in 2015. I lived in Milan for 4 years but it’s not great. I now live down south in a rural area close to the sea. Life is much better here than the UK for sure. It’s safer, cheaper, people are nicer, the weather, the scenery, the food - EVERYTHING is better here except wages so make sure you earn your money elsewhere or bring it with you.👍
Eurozone has to get rid of central bank digital currencies before a move to lovely Italy.
I relocated from the UK to Italy almost 10 years ago. There’s talk about raising the flat tax to 300 K. By the way.
The thing is the whole world is bad for anyone who isn't rich. Most places that you would consider to live are great if you're rich and not afraid to spend your money.
I'm a Brit, and I lived in Italy from 2000 to 2015 - and finally I moved back to the UK, and honestly its better here for work, but perhaps old age may be better in Italy
Poland looks enticing as well.
