I’ll argue with anyone the husband did the right thing in the beginning he saved his wife. She willingly walked back into danger also putting the entire house at risk for her feelings by bringing the child in.
That opening scene was amazing
Those kids were the real bad guys!
Thats a hill I will die on: Don did everything right in the beginning and his wife fucked up every single situation. She let the kid in, she went upstairs to look for the kid, she stayed eith the kid. Don fought of like 5-6 guys so everybody else can leave, he even followed his wife upstairs to help her although this was a stupid decision. And he realised that he cant rescue her from the situation she caused herself without all 3 of them dying. Critisizing his decision is like saying he should have killed himself as well.
That wasn’t a happy end for the children. It’s heavily implied that Andy caused the infection to spread in France. He was a carrier.
I'm guessing this is not going to go over well.
in other reactions I've seen so many people say Dons a coward. Just shows so many people have no logic and are run 100% on their emotions. The guy was INSANELY brave but logical, my evidence. 1. He said not to open the door (logical) but when they decided to open it, he was the one to do it and take all the risk (brave). 2. He put himself into ALMOST certain death fighting the infected in the kitchen to give the others time to escape. (extremely brave) 3. When he lost his crowbar and it became certain death to remain, he didn’t just flee he looked for his wife. 4. He tried to save his wife but she chose death for both of them. Him not getting beaten to death by a dozen infected on his wifes orders doesn't make him a coward. It makes him logical 🤣. 5. He also tried to save the other fella by pulling him onto the boat rather than just leaving him. If it was remotely possible to save someone, Don would take the risk.
In defence of Don. Alice actively made the decision to put herself on the wrong end of an infected attack. Don was no coward since 2 minutes earlier we saw him fighting several infected on his own. Split second decision
Literally 2 kids left in the entire country and they sneak out within a day of being there.
Still one of the best openings in cinema!
