ONE OF BLUMHOUSE'S SCARIEST?! Sinister Full Movie Reaction Watch Along: https://www.patreon.com/thereelrejects - Gift Someone (Or Yourself) An RR Tee! https://shorturl.at/hekk2 Coming off of his Academy Award-nominated turn in Blue Moon, The Scream Queens RETURN to check out Ethan Hawke in their Sinister reaction, recap, commentary, analysis, breakdown, & spoiler review!! Roxy Striar & Tara Erickson react to and review Sinister (2012), the chilling supernatural horror film directed by Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange, The Black Phone) and produced by Blumhouse. Known for its deeply unsettling atmosphere and terrifying imagery, the film has become a modern horror classic. Ethan Hawke (Training Day, Before Sunrise) stars as true-crime writer Ellison Oswalt, who moves his family into a new home while researching his next book—only to discover a box of disturbing home movies in the attic. As Ellison watches the footage, he uncovers a pattern of brutal murders tied to a mysterious figure known as Bughuul, a pagan deity that feeds on children’s souls. As the investigation deepens, the line between reality and nightmare begins to blur, putting his entire family at risk. The film features some of the most haunting sequences in recent horror, including the infamous Super 8 home movie reels (like the “lawnmower” tape), the eerie presence of Bughuul in the background of images, and the slow-burn descent into terror as Ellison realizes the truth behind the curse. Supporting performances from Juliet Rylance (McMafia, Perry Mason) as Tracy Oswalt and James Ransone (It Chapter Two, The Wire) as the helpful Deputy add to the film’s grounded tension. With its mix of psychological horror, disturbing imagery, and one of the most memorable horror villains of the 2010s, Sinister delivers a relentlessly creepy experience that sticks with you long after the credits roll. #Sinister #HorrorMovies #Blumhouse #EthanHawke #Bughuul #SupernaturalHorror #MovieReaction #FilmReaction #HorrorFilm #Bughuul #ScaryMovies #React #ReactTo #Reaction #TryNotToScream #TryNotToGetScared The Purge (2013) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/6JM_KJJHCzQ The Mist (2007) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/J5qlalDMxhI Pearl (2022) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/jNMJzItfoGc Wanted (2008) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/K20jLZ8XXds Five Nights at Freddy's (2023) Movie Reaction: https://youtu.be/9p85g39_3kg Follow *Tara Erickson:* https://www.youtube.com/@TaraErickson https://www.instagram.com/taraerickson/ https://twitter.com/thetaraerickson Follow *Roxy Striar* https://www.instagram.com/roxystriar/?hl=en https://twitter.com/roxystriar 0:00 Checking In! 2:09 Sinister Reaction 1:03:55 Sinister Review Intense Suspense by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ RR Clips & Shorts Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ReelRejectsClips Follow TheReelRejects On The Socials: IG: https://www.instagram.com/reelrejects/ TT: https://www.tiktok.com/@thereelrejects?lang=en TWITTER: https://twitter.com/thereelrejects FB: https://www.facebook.com/TheReelRejects/ Music Used In Ad: Hat the Jazz by Twin Musicom is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Happy Alley by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Head Editor: https://www.instagram.com/prapermedia Supervising Producer: https://twitter.com/nerdchronic?lang=en Co-Editor: Greg Alba Co-Editor: John Humphrey Music In Video: Airport Lounge - Disco Ultralounge by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Follow & Listen to Us Wherever You Get Your Podcasts!! - Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3XHMwbveiznxSOGxN9XT0M - Google Podcasts: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5tZWdhcGhvbmUuZm0vc3Rhci13YXJzLXRhbGs - Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-reel-rejects-tv-movie-recaps/id1616339990 - Audible: https://www.audible.com/pd/The-Apocalypse-Podcast/B08JJP58FG Ask Us A QUESTION On CAMEO: https://www.cameo.com/thereelrejects Follow GREG On INSTAGRAM & TWITTER: INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/thegregalba/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/thegregalba PLAYLISTS: Trailer Reactions & Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw9ZsLdoAQFpx38s2hhyFgDe Movie Reviews: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw-comtadVs8b9JsZEWHUyr8 Movie Talk (News, Spoiler Reviews, & Film Rumors!!!): https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw8fPQ-21NVSb2IOwIiHbVt8 Youtube Video Reactions & Discussions: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw_qwcPsN_vOxXC6IVzrOQYG Sketches & Short Films: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-bIhJVeYWw_zWuTRfBOUP3aYyIYRzc2y

RIP James Ransone who plays the cop (and played adult Eddie in IT Chapter 2 and Ethan Hawke’s brother in The Black Phone)

The studio lighting needs to be fixed, ask Greg about it. Your experience watching the movie is the key to this movie reaction, if you can't see the dark scene because of the lights than it defeats the purpose. Your studio light doesn't need to be that bright.

I love that they do the one thing most people never do in horror—when they realize the house is haunted, they actually leave. And I love the twist that it didn’t matter anyway.

At some point these damn lights will need to be deemed down for yall to be able to see movies like this one. Casting someone to watch Sinister and not account for the darkness in the movie is wild behavior.

Vote it's too bright and to let the rejects turn some lights off also allow them to drink beer

Dim. The. Lights. How many times we gotta keep saying it! Dim the lights! We can see you just fine, you don't need to be lit up like a runway!

Watching horror movies in a bright environment doesn't scares or give the same vibe as watching it in the dark.
