This is my first time seeing a reaction with Jackie. She seems very sweet, and most importantly she seems to pay attention and actually absorb what she's watching. Hope we see her more often.
The cat lives! There's a scene in there where the cat's owner finally gets it back in the cat carrier.
This movie is absolutely beautiful. I love the creative ways it explains the afterlife, the "beforelife", and being in the zone. And more than that, I love the message of it all. Life isn't about what you were "born to do" or finding your purpose, because nobody really has one. Life is about living it to the fullest, really enjoying it, doing what makes you happy. And it's a beautiful message indeed.
"I'm gonna live every minute of it" a simple line, yet goes so unbelievably hard 😭
He said “I’d die a happy man if I could play for Dorthia Williams “ curly say “today could be your lucky day “ what a great foreshadow for both playing w dorthia and dying
I like how it’s the most simple yet complex story Pixar has done. People aren’t born with a purpose, but it’s great to see your passion to the fullest extent. The kinda movie that makes you take a breather in the theater bathroom😂
this is a special movie for me. it came out just before my older brother passed away. he passed months before my son was born. it just feels.... real.

the dorothea scene where joe finally gets everything he wanted and feels nothing .. I think that emptiness is actually the most honest moment in the film. she doesn’t console him, she just tells him the fish story basically saying you built up “the ocean” so big in your mind that you can’t recognize you’ve been living in it. that’s not just a pixar lesson, but also a core insight of zen buddhism and advaita vedanta. the same thing you’re chasing is already here.
