Alabama asks the Supreme Court to throw out a lower court ruling and allow the GOP-favored primary map. The November race for Texas Senate is set. Democratic state Representative James Talarico will face Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who defeated four-term Senator John Cornyn with about 64-percent of the vote.
