Story 1: This could have ended very differently. If she was letting herself into the apartment to move stuff around, what was stopping her from letting herself in with a knife in the middle of the night? Story 2: Yeah, chances are this Brad guy could end up on some kind of list in the future. Good on Tom for just straight up dropping Brad from the movie though when he found out. Story 3: Gambling away the rent money is a really selfish move, but yes it's proof how gambling addiction can destroy not only yourself, but everyone else around you.

The moment I thought someone was entering my home is the moment I'd change the locks.

women like that in story 1 is one of the many reasons i try to educate people about *my* BPD since everyone seems to think all BPD-havers are that level of unstable

Story 1: I have BPD. My bestie has BPD. We know people with BPD. If your disorder is so bad that you can't be left alone without breaking into people's homes, then you should never be left alone. Period. Being in police custody is better than being allowed to run free at that point. No one--NO ONE--is obligated to put up with your bullshit or let you get away with it. Having a disorder does not free you from the consequences of your actions.

Uncomfortable: Yea, I guessing Brad knew she was going to be his co-star and that's why he signed up, neglecting to tell his friend about it. Good on the friend.

Story 2: Now that's a REAL friend! Handled this every way he should have, mildly shocked but after processing it did what was best for his friend.

If someone breaks your trust by gambling your money away, DO NOT assume that it is a one time thing. They will almost always dig you and themselves into a deeper hole. Cut funding to them immediately and put precautions in place to safeguard yourself and possessions from them, then work on a safety plan to distance yourself from them so you don't get dragged down into a pit of debt and deception.

As someone who also has BPD. No op should call the police!! She doesn't want to get treated for something that you genuinely need a treatment plan of some kind to deal with properly and there's many different treatment plants. She just got to find one that works for her and her lifestyle. A criminal record can force her into finding treatment that works for her. It's not a great way to do it, but sometimes that's what takes to get it done 3:49
