The only spaghetti you should trust is mom's spaghetti. If you eat any other you could end up w/ your palms sweaty, knees weak, arms heavy and eventually you lose yourself
Food poisoning takes time to kick in. You can’t tell someone the food was fine because they didn’t immediately get sick.
Story 1: This whole "Try it now, worry about what's in it later" thing makes me think of when Snow White was fed the poisoned apple
*2nd Story:* The boyfriend is the adult version of the kid you knew who only visited that one friend's house solely for the free snacks/drinks that are always offered. It'd be one thing if the boyfriend lived in an apartment with other roommates, but this guy was effectively freeloading at _two_ houses as opposed to one.
Story #1- "I felt a great disturbance in the pasta, as if millions of Italians suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced."
As an Italian, what the hell is that thumbnail 😭
Vacation story, there is also the third option: Go "It's SO generous of you to cover our share." and just spin it into a "Well, since YOU are paying, you set the rules, right?"
Story 2: it’s honestly hilarious how he seems to both resent OP for being so self-sufficient at 19, but also demands to benefit from it. And I’m not even judging him for not having his own apartment, in this day and age depending on where you are, moving out, the average move out age is rising. But at 19, he should be trying to do something, and he admitted he was using OP to do nothing.
To the boyfriend who has "moved in", he's not in love with you . He's in love with your apartment.
Food poisoning is a real thing. My husband ate a burger from a restaurant that smelled divine. I almost asked for a bite, but didn't. Good thing I didn't because I had to call 911 from work after he failed to pick me up, and it turned out he almost died from that burger. He was in hospital for 4 days. I am SO careful with food, especially now. That first story is gross and horrifying.
