Restaurant story: my kid brother is intellectually disabled, but he also knows that the type of behavior expressed in the story is just plain rude. Obviously, this kid was indulged.

Second story: The mention of jollof rice leads me to believe the guy, who is the issue, is West African. I can assure you that all this behaviour would have earned him several slaps if he tried it back there (Source: I am West African myself), definitely not a cultural difference, he was raised to be spoiled

Story 3: > "Hey, we don't want any visitors today" > "We're visiting anyways" > "Hey, I said we're not having any visitors today" > "How dare you make this birth about you and not me" That's it, that's the whole post, OP is NTA

1st story: I LOVE it when just reading the title makes me think YTA, but after reading the details turns to NTA. NTA turning out to be YTA isn't as satisfying.

The man criticizing the woman with the pimples on her back DOES NOT HAVE an "intellectual disability", he actually has a moral disability, and his parents ARE NOT helping. OP is NTA for standing up to him and giving him the riot act.

Restaurant: I work with children with intellectual disabilities. You don't just hand wave it when they're rude! You tell them to stop and explain that they are, in fact, being rude. Just because they have a disability doesn't mean they cannot understand basic social etiquette. Being rude is neither a disability or a part of a disability!

As an African born and raised this is not normal. Report him.

Story 4: Woman, your dinner at that restaurant was YOUR experience. You didn’t involve yourself in someone else’s experience. You were trying to mitigate your own. Whose lives do your friends think they’re living?!
