Story 1: rSlash, you made a mistake. They did not lie by omission, they straight up lied by calling her overdramatic and blaming her in order to protect that pedophile. Much worse than a lie by omission. They’re harming OP’s reputation to save the pedo’s.

Daycare teacher (in Canada) here, in my province, you aren't even allowed to let kids watch a movie/show on a regular basis like that. Also, our job as educators is to work with parents, not against them. The teacher definitely deserved to get fired, you cannot ignore a very reasonable parental request like that and expect 0 consequences. Also, if it makes anyone feel slightly better about being late to daycare, as the teacher who always used to close up, the last child isnt just left to play alone while we wait. I always try to make it special, glitter glue, special toys (they pick out a toy to play with from our materials closet), dance party. If the parent is also really behind and I have to call them, I will generally ask them if they want to speak to their child, to reassure the child. It is our job to make sure kids feel safe and their needs are met.

Last story: I’ve heard this one before and it think there was an update which everyone in the family has observed the sister’s entitlement and they’ve all unilaterally chose to cut off their assistance until she actually redeems herself.
