Just say "I work a remote job, it's confidential and I've had to sign a very strict NDA"
Second Story: I couldnβt imagine being in OP's position. Honestly, I sometimes wonder what parents of murderers go through after everything is said and done. I get the friend's anger but why take it out on OP? OP's son is the only pos who killed someone. I get it was out of anger but take it out in the awful person who deserves to rot in a cell
Story 5: If that woman was REALLY sorry, she'd confess to everyone that she was a liar. But she only vaguely apologized to OP just to ease her own conscience. WAY too late, on top of that.
5th story: she kept pressuring him. She ignored his attempt to stop. That was r*pe, period. He was accused when he was actually the victim.
First story....just say you are a ghost writer with an NDA that prevents you telling people what you are writing.
First story "I do commissioned work online. It's not stable so I'm still looking for a proper career, but it's a good little side-hustle for now." And if they ask what exactly, then depending on whether or not the OP makes the art themselves or not, they can either say art commissions of a specific fandom and niche, or they can say it's related to a niche financial situation and involves private info so can't go into details about. And cannot share about it or work for friends/family, it's a lot of drama to mix work life with private life so that's a hard no.
Story 3: what so many side pieces (male and female) never understand is that rule #1 is that you are #2. And even if you do get to that #1 spot, there will ALWAYS be someone else. If they'll cheat for you, they'll cheat on you.
That last story, I fully understand where he's coming from. Being the child of addicts who split up when you're young messes you up in ways that really aren't even fully understood, and it takes a lot of time and effort and money to break that cycle. I hope OP gets his teeth fixed and gets to have the big smile he wants with his kids.
It is devastating how selfish killers are, ruining EVERYONES life around them. No one is spared in these cases, and it's disgusting. I hope that son gets what he deserves, whatever it is, and I hope everyone involved an grieve properly and live their lives without forgetting the stolen one.
Fourth story: My mom told me the wise words of my grandma "Don't work yourself to death for a job that's gonna still be there long after you're dead."
