I sincerely believe a bunch of teenagers seeing a topless woman were NOT offended.

Last story: Rules are fine, their house they get to say what goes on in it. Getting angry about not being allowed to enforce their rules, because the couple left to get a hotel instead, because they get a choice in where they want to stay, is insane.

Last story: Nah, fuck that. The parents deserve 2/5 for thinking they can impose this stupid rule on other ADULTS, who aren’t not even their children. And the friend deserves to be called out to the friend group that he plans to invite to Friendsgiving, so others can judge him for getting angry at the wrong people.

First Story, NTA: OP goes to the place at night and it's legal for women to be topless. I was about to say OP was the AH until she mentioned those important details. Also, if these neighbors have a problem....why are they watching OP?

Story 2: to be honest it sounds like sis is looking for an out. She saw two meaningless text messages, now she wants to go through OP’s entire message history on her phone and social media? That sounds like someone trying to find a reason to be upset over nothing. And if she went to him about this, that’s gonna be a massive argument she doesn’t want. So her plan is to go behind his back and manipulate OP into doing it through her. Or is she just looking for a reason not to invite OP because she’s insecure.

Last story“ let us go to a hotel” OP and her BF are adults who use their own money. What was or even could he do to stop them? Also, you don’t get to be mad at them for what his parents did, and his parents can’t force you to stay in their house. But clearly it wasn’t about the rules, it was about controlling a couple who doesn’t live the way his parents think they should.

"We have these rules." "Oh, I don't like those rules, I'm going to go somewhere else." "HOW DARE YOU TELL US YOU DON'T LIKE OUR RULES AND FIND A SOLUTION THAT BENEFITS BOTH OF US!" That's a sign those rules exist for the sake of feeling in control, or have become that way, and not out of any genuine feeling.

Story 3: I’m sorry but Op’s sister is hilarious AND completely in the right. NTA Op

2nd story: OP’s sister should have been thrilled that her fiancé and OP worked together and had a friendly relationship. Instead, her insecurity is going to destroy two relationships.
