My main take away from this is that too many jackholes get access to cars somehow.

Back in the 60s, my aunt got this overwhelming urge to run back into the house to get her camera, pissing off grandpa. They got to the bottom of the hill to see a deadly accident that they would have been in, had she not gone back in for her camera. Her pictures were used in the newspaper article

Right as I was going to work, my friend begged me 'please don't die'. It was so out of the blue and intense in their voice that it made me a little paranoid at work. As I was about to cross the parking lot with some trolleys, I got that weird feeling from my friend's warning. So I stopped and just waited. Sure enough, a big truck that I had neither seen nor heard came speeding off the highway, through a red light, and tore through the parking lot at full speed. Had I crossed, I would be so incredibly dead.

I was walking with my fiancé when traffic stopped to let us use the crosswalk. My partner went first, me right behind him. Some ahole decided the traffic stopped for him and turned directly into the wrong lane; the lane I was still crossing. My partner grabbed the front of my coat and yanked me forward, saving me; had he not, the driver's right headlight would have made contact with my face. I was midstep when he grabbed my coat and yanked me 4 feet forward. This ahole had the audacity to stop, get out, and yell AT ME until my partner and the other drivers started screaming he almost killed me and they'd all witnessed it. I almost didn't have my partner walk with me that day and if I had been alone, I wouldn't be here. He had a feeling that he needed to go with me that day and I'm really glad he did.

I had a German shepherd, Muneca. She passed from old age and that day we did we took her to get cremated. After we went to go eat at a seafood restaurant that was situated on the street over from my sister’s house. A Spanish song was playing towards the end of the meal that kept on singing her name as part of the chorus. It bummed me out so I asked if could leave. As we left a group of me came in right as we exited. We dropped my sister off and headed home. We get a call not even a couple minutes later from my sister that she heard gunshots coming from the restaurant. Keep in mind the only thing separating her house and the restaurant was a concrete wall. We later found out that the group of men that came in robbed and shot up the place. If it wasn’t for the song coming up and singing my dog’s name, we still would’ve been there. It felt like Muneca protected us one last time.

Not sure if this counts, but when I was 17, I was very troubled. One day after a particularly rough day at school, I was just done with everything. I went to McDonald's for a last meal of sorts while I waited for my mom to pick me up. I sat there trying to decide the best way to end it. Now it's important to note that I was HEAVILY goth at the time. White foundation, heavy black everything else, big hair, the works, I had literally had children cry after looking at me. So imagine my surprise when this little girl ~7 years old comes up to me. She doesn't say a word, all she does is set her happy meal toy on the table. The toy, the part that is the only important thing in their meals for many kids. I really wish I had said thank you, to her or her mom for raising such a sweet kid. That little girl being kind to someone so scary because they looked sad knocked me out of my funk. My life was saved with a $0.50 MLP toy. While I had those thoughts again later, I never started actually planning again. I still have that toy, I keep it sat on top of my TV because it is one of the single most valuable items I own. The McDonald's toy that not only saved my life, but that made me a better person. I was not always a good person, and maybe I'm still not, but that toy taught me that kindness does not need to be big and flashy to make an impact. Sometimes, something that costs you nothing means everything to the other person. I started being kinder, I started working on myself, and I got better in both regards, I think. And my biggest regret is not being able to thank the girl who gave me that toy for saving my life or her mom for raising such a sweet little girl.

10:20 this is also the reason why japan doesn’t have public trash can anymore because the didn’t only use the gas on the train but they also stashed it into public trash cans, which effected people who were waiting at the train station.

On December 8th 2004 I was supposed to go see Pantera for by birthday but a mix up at work with my request off made it where I had to work. That night a gunman from the crowd shot Dimebag Darrel on stage. I would have been in the second row right in front of where he was on stage.
