Reddit Updates: Platonic Love Realized, Delayed Justice Served, and Suing Over Fallen Fountains

Witness how a 25-year friendship ignites into romance, discover the massive public pressure required to overturn a failed rape prosecution, and learn why video evidence trumps blame in small claims court.

Short Summary

  • Convert 25 years of platonic living into a passionate, committed relationship.
  • Leverage public media advocacy to secure justice 12 years after a sexual assault case was initially dropped by local authorities.
  • Successfully defend against liability stemming from a neighbor selling the actions of their child on private property.

This session analyzes three impactful Reddit stories covering major life thresholds: navigating sudden intimacy after decades of friendship, fighting systemic failure in the justice system, and resolving complex property damage liability. The takeaways show how patience, confrontation, and documentation drive resolution, regardless of the topic.

Second Story: Let me re-phrase what the DA said: "There are more serious crimes and we don’t want to put the effort in helping u deal with ur rape case, so don’t get ur hopes up". This justice system is a joke. 2-4 years for rape is WILD but some people get higher sentenced for not so serious crimes 🤦🏾‍♂️

Rape having a statute of limitations in some places is horrible

second story: in the US alone, there’s at least 50,000 untested r-word kits just sitting in storage. These are from people who have gone through the trauma of getting the test done to find the DNA, usually with the hope of prosecuting. And they’re just… sitting there. Awful

They literally got a confession from the guy and still dragged their feet to do anything about it, and to add insult to injury he got such a short time. The justice system is a joke.

an ON PAPER confession. *ON PAPER CONFESSION.* and their response is "ohhh, i don't know, this stuff is really difficult to prosecute..." i can't believe this. i cannot believe how insanely difficult it is to get sa prosecuted in some places. when i was sa'd, i went to the police an entire WEEK after it happened, at my dad's behest. i had no evidence, besides telling them i was drunk, and an uber receipt showing the ride from his place to mine. i had to tell them i didn't want to pursue prosecution (because i was too emotionally wrecked to do anything), they had almost nothing and were straight willing to build a case on him then and there. genuinely insane to me the difference between my story and op's.

How come alcohol makes SA difficult to prosecute, but it makes driving under the influence or while intoxicated extremely easy

First Story: Who knew all it took was for two people to have sex for the first time to realize they love each other. Literally OP and his "best friend" 😉 did everything couples do besides have sex. I wonder why she didn’t express her feelings all this time

Third story: if they're willing to hide someone's cheating, then they're willing to cheat themselves.

First story starts sounding like the classic "they were roommates" even if OP isn't also a woman haha

Story 2: Too bad he didn't have to go through France's legal system instead, 15 years minimum. Absolutely insane that the punishment is so low.
