If i really have to build professional project in order to land an internship, then i'm not junior developer. I would rather applying for mid-senior dev role.

So, other than school, I have no experience to put on my resume other than amateur school projects. I'm currently trying to work on a personal project that I think would be useful, but I'm not sure how to release it or how to make it usable since it needs a user base. Should I drop that project for now and try something else?
