Judge Dorrow made sure no one else would EVER have to try this case again. She's received a lot of criticism, but I totally respect and admire her for enduring Brooks' BS and still keeping her cool.
He seems to have never understood that many things the Judge did were to protect his rights and protect him from bias. She tried.🤷🏻♀️
I've never seen a self-proclaimed "sovereign" citizen SO concerned about the Constitution (that they don't recognize) and what the laws are (which they don't follow) 🙄
I think that DB is so convinced that he's the victim, that he truly thought that if the jury/public saw him in shackles, that would garner him sympathy from them, rather than the more likely outcome that it would prejudice them _against_ him (because, in his mind, it's just so _obvious_ that he's the victim here). That's why he argued for them seeing the shackles (as well as why he argued for showing up in his prison uniform during jury selection, why he argued that the jury should know about jury nullification, why he complained in front of the jury about the jury not being allowed to know certain things, etc.)
The FREAKING AUDACITY for Brooks to ask 'favors' or 'special accommodations' from the judge is mind-blowing!!!
Replay crew for this one. Brooks is so damn infuriating! I have a lot of respect for this judge and her getting everything on record. She's admirable.
He was in shock restraints in the same way he was being held in contempt...in his own imagination!!
He argues just to argue. He's bored AF in jail, this is his only entertainment. He will go back to his Pod & tell stories all day... this ISN'T A MENTAL HEALTH EPISODE.
Judge Dorow knew exactly what she was doing throughout the trial. Those who followed the proceedings perhaps thought she was allowing Brooks too many liberties . She was merely avoiding any basis for a possible mistrial. Well done Judge Dorow 👏👏👏
When he questioned the deputy about the restraints, I would have said "If they were shock devices sir, why weren't you shocked earlier in the trial when you threatened to hit the deputies with your shoe after being removed to the other courtroom where you removed your shirt and sat on the table with your back to the judge?"
