That last sentence was SO powerful. “This is a civil case about a criminal case that never got to see a courtroom”
What about all that taxpayer money, search parties and wasted resources, if in fact they knew the whole time? This whole case and the parents are so sus, I’m shocked they’ve not been at least charged with obstruction.
If your kid comes home and says he killed someone, you love him, you support him, and you call the police and report it. You can be in sorrow over what he did, but they must face the consequences. Brian might still be alive albeit in prison if his parents had done the right thing. Covering up crime committed by your child does nothing for anyone.
Imagine your kid goes missing, the last person they were with has your kids vehicle but him and his parents BLOCK you from cell phone and social media. Imagine the confusion, shock and dread. Imagine the conclusions you might have to come to, the mental hoops you'd have to jump through to try and convince yourself there would be a good outcome. Then hope just dies. I'll never forgive what the laundries did to the petitos. I hope they get some justice in this civil case.
I'm a parent and I believe they had a moral duty to tell what they knew. I think they are a sham of a human being
The letter pleading with the Laundries to help with information regarding Gabby’s whereabouts is heartbreaking 😭💔
I think that the nail in their proverbial coffin would be that their son turned up at their house without Gabby, /in her car./ They know that they're not married and so a courtesy call to say, "My son's here without your daughter driving in her car." Instead of that, they blocked them. They knew. What I want to know is how this doesn't qualify them for accessory after the fact. If they took proactive steps to hide their son from the consequences of his murdering gabby, how ISNT that accessory?

That he was that much of an abusive partner at such a young age speaks volumes about how these people raised him. They're despicable.
The fact that the Laundries blocked the Petito family and refused to help says it all for me!
