Description

Turkey has started selling its gold after nearly wiping out its U.S. Treasury holdings, and Jay argues this is not an isolated crisis, it's an early warning signal in a much larger financial cascade. In this episode, Jay breaks down how higher oil prices, shrinking global reserves, and forced Treasury selling could pressure emerging markets first, then push stress back into the U.S. bond market and the dollar itself. This is a look at what happens when countries run out of dollars, run out of assets to sell, and are forced into the next phase of the crisis. Thank you for the reminder of the real world example of Sri Lanka, which everyone seems to have forgotten about. People everywhere are now pretending "that can't happen here". We shall see.

This video is wrong about Turkey - they did sell some gold during a brief period in March this year but restocked it during April. In fact it isn't unusual for Turkey to buy and sell their gold. They have done it many times over the years to maintain liquidity and depending on economic conditions at the time.

I've watched many videos and done much research on the bond market, trying to understand it and you are the first person that explained it in a way I could understand. Thanks!

As a gold owner I come on these Youtube channels just for fun and I noticed something that's a common practice is that as gold continues to crater and collapse the so called analysts and experts which they really aren't anyway, are no longer reluctant to call for $8000 gold or $6000 gold and in fact they don't call for any price all they do is they use euphemisms and metaphors to justify their holding of the asset class like one day when the country collapses it'll be good that you had some gold. Silly things like that. For those that bought this rock at $5200 this is hardly a band aid to place on the wound. I saw these kinds of interviews in 2015 when all of self described experts that gathered in Montreal for the Mutual Admiration Society or better known as the Gold Conference all predicted$6000 gold because of the money printing at the time$12 trillion quantitative easing It made sense right print more money dollar gets weaker and gold goes up well guess what as is the case with all of these other fake catalysts and attributions that are used to defend gold, it went down by literally 50% and took four long agonizing years for it to do so. As a gold owner I've seen this movie play out now three times in my life and I can tell you for an absolute certainty as far as I can see from my experience that goal will settle below $3000 of course it won't go to zero and I doubt it will go to 2000 but I wouldn't be so sure but 99% certain it won't do that but I'm 99% certain that it will fall in the high 2000s by the time it finally bottoms right now you've got a long way down
