This week, I tried to report a bug to Microsoft. If I spot a bug, I'll always report it. I've been paid to QC and I love doing beta testing. The path to report took me to an AI bot which told me to follow the steps I had just taken to report the bug. Great, I'm sure that was true when you got your training data, but now it takes me to you. I spent 30min of my own life trying to just report a glitch. You can't fix what you don't know. I gave up. Goodluck, MicroSlop.

I worked at Cisco when I was new to software. I remember our director did absolutely nothing. He said he was told the only way he could get a promotion was to not be needed so they could promote him without replacing him. So he made his managers run everything. Also even though we had no work and most people on the team worked 2 hours a day tops, he would always argue he needed headcount because more engineers under him made him look better. These large companies are just run so poorly…

I like the "it goes through 14 layers of management" line that ends up in "we fired all the low-level employees"... Pure logic!

I work at a company doing rolling layoffs. Productivity has never been lower. Morale has never been lower. Every team is behind on their roadmap. The C suite said the restructure won’t affect delivery.
