Feels like he's meandering his way towards Haskell
ELIXIR MENTIONED, WHAT THE FK IS A JOB MARKET?!!!!! 🔥🔥🗣🗣
One step closer to Haskell.
I find pattern matching incredibly readable. My armchair theory is that our brains are natural pattern matchers, so scanning a list of patterns in code is easy for our brains to digest.
Wait until he discovers processes and message passing.
Oh, cool, functional programming is very nice.
Elixir is one of the few languages where I can feel the amount of effort put into it's design. It's such a nice language
This is exactly why I love Elixir! Pattern matching + overloading makes the language so delightful to write
Prime, you cannot imagine my emotion when I saw the Elixir code on the screen. Elixir is simply beautiful, and not just pattern matching: the entire philosophy of the language and ecosystem is next level. People in the community are extremely nice too. When you start playing with the BEAM and understand the elegance of it, sure you will fall in love. Also, types are coming! (However, I have to say that specs do a surprisingly good job: Elixir has such a good design that even the lack of static types doesn't feel bad like in other languages. They are putting a lot of love in the design of the new type system, surely it will be great)... You made a great decision.
Slowly but surely, Prime going the Elixir path.
