David Zucker: "We were always not taking ourselves seriously..." If that doesn't explain what's unfortunately changed in American culture, society, and aesthetics, I don't know what does. Terrific interview, once again!
“How many people follow you?” “Dozens!” 😂😂😂
What a great interview. Thank you. It was 2AM and unable to sleep. You two had me in tears. My favorite memory from AIRPLANE was June Cleaver speaking jive, but thats not important right now.
It's been a rough couple of years. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Thank you. "Karen Bass was the mayor" Great stuff man.
Airplane was the reason I taught myself how to speak Jive 😁
Every real pilot knows every great line from “Airplane”…
The high school reunion story was too funny. Tears were streaming down my face.
I contend Airplane! is a masterpiece of film. It is perfection.
You’re a gift, Mr. Zucker, to those of us who know what funny looks like. Great show, Mike!
Love your show. I enjoyed this segment very much. I'm 70 and fit right in to the times you discuss. I was reminded of the time my two sons (16 and 18 YO) were in the theater watching Cast Away. Toward the end of of the film Tom Hanks had just gone to find the lady and deliver the package with the wings on it when he pulled over and looked long and hard down the road when my 16YO pipes up quite loudly in the theater and says, "He ain't going to start runningg is he?". The entire theater (or as it seemed) burst into laughter. Keep on keeping on Mike. Thanks, Monte
