When I was 17 I got my dad the best Christmas gift but to this day I have no idea what it actually is. I think its some sort of multi-use charger for car batteries and it has other functions as well. But he dragged me to Bass Pro with him in the summer and when he saw the battery thing he kept talking about how cool it is and if he should buy it or not. I remembered the exact location of it and went back later and bought it using my part-time job money. When Christmas came around he was so surprised when he opened his present and saw it, he was so happy like a little kid. Almost 10 years later he still uses it and tells me all the time how useful it is when he's out at the hunting lease. It was a really great feeling to make my dad so happy ❤Merry Christmas, everyone ✝
"Thanks honey for spending my own money to get me something I don't want." 😂
Matt. My daughter watched this inspired video and went out and bought me a fantastic gift. It was a new pair of sneakers- the same brand as I was wearing. I was so happy. I took off the old ones she had gotten me last year and put the new ones on right there. Then I immediately put the old ones in the new box and walked it out the the trash. You are like a watchman in our family. We always return shopping carts even during torrential rainstorms.
We don’t want our horizons expanded. We have set our horizons exactly where we want them, and they will stay there until we die. I was literally laughing out loud. The accuracy in this statement is amazingly spot on.
My grandmother (dad's mom) used to make a Christmas sponge cake when I was a kid. She passed away about 20 years ago, and since I found her recipe I have made this cake for my dad every Christmas (using grandma's old baking tin that she used to use for it). It is our way to remember her on Christmas and this is the best thing I think I can give him.
Listen ladies - whatever you’re thinking of that you feel is lazy, boring and unexciting - that’s what he wants. He’s got loads of them already because he likes them. It was his favourite present the last ten years in a row because he likes them. Just, whatever they are, buy him another one. Cool?
I think Matt Walsh would be pretty simple to buy a gift for... Bass pro shop gift card. They sell all the fishing gear he would need and flannel shirts.
You had to release this BEFORE Christmas, Matt.
Many Dads actually used to be people, so they might still like things that people like.
My favorite gift was watching my young kids open their presents with excitement and gratitude.
