Finally somebody did justice to Maldivian food culture. Well done Mark , you’ve covered it well. There are more varieties of different traditions and dishes as you go along from south to north of Maldives. I truly wish people could see past resorts and luxury paradise to see these kind of raw unfiltered cuisine and hospitality we offer in Maldives πŸ‡²πŸ‡»

I was genuinely moved to tears of joy watching this video. It beautifully captured the very best of our country a side that fills me with pride and deep emotion. The variety of Maldivian dishes showcased was incredible some of which many of us haven’t even had the chance to try. Seeing all of this come from Addu made it even more special. Thank you, Addu, for representing us in such a rich and heartfelt way. ❀

The best part about watching Mark's videos is that he always steers clear of the usual mundane tourist destinations and goes off the beaten path straight into the heart of the place, which is amongst the local people and gives us the opportunity to experience the REAL cuisine and daily meals of the people. Thank you Mark, Ying and Micah. L❀VE from South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

Her singing made me cry. In fact, the whole experience you had left me in tears of joy! There is so much beauty, love and connection in this world that the media will never show because we're all saturated with nasty politics and violence. THIS IS TRULY BEAUTIFUL!!!! Thank you!!!

Probably the best videos about the Maldives so far, nothing can beat the food and the friendliness of the people in Addu Meedhoo. It’s also one of the cleanest islands in the country. Great work, Mark! πŸ™

00:10 If you’re planning to visit Hulhumeedhoo, don’t miss the local village BBQ and chicken curry β€” it’s a true taste of Maldivian community life. The whole meal costs about 250 Maldivian Rufiyaa (around $16 USD) for four people, which is a great value for authentic home-cooked food. Also, take time to visit the Nalafehi Meedhoo Eco Garden and maybe even plant a tree β€” it’s a meaningful way to give back and see how locals protect their island’s greenery.
