Magnesium l-Threonate is the only form of Magnesium that has helped me go back to sleep after the 3AM wake up
Excellent explanation of this, I appreciate the way you approached the brain barrier issue and explain things so succinctly yet thoroughly. And yep, I fell for the 'threonate' hype. I have a few pills left and won't buy it again because it's really pricey compared to the other forms.
Taking magnesium threonate gives me more vivid and memorable dreams. Also feel like I sleep more deeply.
Bisglycinate! Before bed it crosses the blood brain barrier as well, mag threonate pre training gives you awesome focus.
For some people a form of Mg will work as for other will not. I do take Mg-bysglicinate and Mg L-threonate and without having a PhD in molecular biology I did think that Mg in either form will eventually pass the brain's blood barrier. Yet, Mg L-threonate (although expensive) does help with memory enhancement and that is priceless. "Magnesium L-threonate (often branded as Magtein®) is a highly bioavailable form of magnesium designed to cross the blood-brain barrier effectively, increasing brain magnesium levels. Thank you for making this clear--the hype just didn't make sense but it seemed like no one wanted to contradict all the authorities promoting l-threonate.
