Yelling at the first OP, "CALL A DAMN SPECIALIST!!" if the nest is indeed as big as OP says and the wasps are getting through their walls??!..... yeah OP needs to call someone before the integrity of their home is compromised (if it's not already compromised.)

Elmer's glue is what you use on cactus spines. Pour it all over the spines and allow it to dry and repeat as necessary. Do not rub it in because they will break off

Dogs ARE known to just pick someone to be their go-to person. Our now deceased dog, Max, picked my mom. Our dog Luna picked my dad. Our dog Clyde? He picked the only person that doesn't hang out with him for hours on end and only plays with him for a bit, my brother. Why he picked my brother? We have ideas, but it's just like "he plays in just the right way" (despite me playing the same way with him) and "he pets him in just the right way" which is hard to define since we scritch pretty much anywhere he wants with little exception. Dogs seem to always just pick someone, and if they haven't done it yet then be prepared to become a B-list celebrity in their eyes.

Wasps will tunnel out another exit if you seal off the nest. If there wasn’t another way out of the nest, there pretty soon will be.
