NASA's BEST IMAGES OF 3I/ATLAS vs AMATEUR ASTRONOMERS π
Comparing NASA and Amateur Imagery of Interstellar Object 3I/ATLAS
Discover why skeptical analysis suggests amateur astronomer images of Comet 3I/ATLAS reveal more detail than billion-dollar NASA assets, focusing particularly on unexpected plasma behavior.
Short Summary
- NASA released official imagery of 3I/ATLAS using assets like MRO, Hubble, and JWST, often resulting in low-resolution or contradictory visual data regarding the tail direction.
- Amateur astronomers, using significantly less expensive equipment ($5kβ$30k), captured remarkably sharp visuals showing consistent tail structure, multiple emanating jets, and a rich plasma environment.
- Stefan Burns questions NASA's emphasis on classifying the object solely as a comet, noting the consistent appearance of plasma signatures across various observations.
- This comparison provides a critical look at how sophisticated space hardware performs versus ground-based observations of this unusual interstellar object.
- The discussion centers on analyzing differences in coma shape, tail orientation, and the implications of high plasma density detected in the object's surroundings.

Iβm offended that NASA thinks we are this stupid and ignorant.
It really does look like a London street light in the fog!
600,000 SUBSCRIBERS JUST HAPPENED WOW!!! Thank you all so so much, it's incredible how my channel has grown with your support and what we've been able to accomplish together!!
I thought itβd be bad, but I didnβt think it would be this bad
Zero data zero efforts, zero explanation. Now Nasa has Zero credibility. Well done.
Huge thanks to the talented amateur astronomers whoβve shared their amazing photos - which prove NASAβs irrelevance. Thanks, Stefan, for the standards of excellence you always bring to this channel!! ππβ¨π
No need for NASA, when we have STEFAN...β€
These comments made my day almost as much as the NASA guy saying they wanted to get the image out quickly.
NASA.. absolutely outrageous! All they can show is a fuzzy blurry blob!! They should be embarrassed!
It's fairly well known that NASA has never released true high resolution photographs of anything since they became a military-run operation. Loved the London fog streetlights photo. Excellent comparison.
