When Pig Killer says "No matter where you go, there you are" is meant as a shout-out to Buckaroo Banzai: Across the Eighth Dimension. Absolutely mental film, has attained cult status.

George Miller said he cast Tina Turner as Auntie Entity because of her "positive persona", due to her survival and escape from the abuse she suffered from Ike. By casting someone perceived positively by audiences as an autocratic leader, Miller displays his intended theme of the franchise. Miller also wanted to depict Auntie as a "survivor" who has since "gained a lot of power" and had "charisma". Miller covered all three principals by casting Tina Turner, a survivor and incredibly charismatic performer. Rest in peace, Tina. 🙏
