Decent interview. I'm glad to hear her insights. Please stop interrupting her...
For those who are unaware, the βSβ in her name is pronounced as the letter βZβ, and the βEβ at the end is pronounced like a short βAβ. Phonetically for English speakers it is Zabeenah.
Dr. Keating is supposed to be interviewing Sabine Hossenfelder so why does he spend 90% of the time talking about himself?
Interesting about Enrico Fermi getting a PhD within 3 years of reading an intro to calculus! He was an amazing mind, talented in many different areas! He left us way too soon!

Wow, Sabineβ€, always good for interesting, entertaining, surprising and controversial opinions and debates. Thanks a lot for inviting herπ
My dad was a high school principal and the students loved him. As a great father, one thing he tried teaching us, his kids, was how to help our own kids learn, and two of the keys were doing it wth love and adoration, and the second was making it fun. Sabine has too many followers to do the former as a parent/personal teacher of all of us, but she does respect us, so that box has been checked. When it comes to the latter, she passes that in spades. She, at least in her videos, has a great sense of humor and most of it is a dry sense of humor. She'll say something very funny and just keep going like it wasn't funny, but you know she knows it was funny because she get a wry smile on her face and a scintillating twinkle in her eyes. She knows how to make learning fun. Also, she is respectful of those whom she disagrees with. To me, that is so important. Dr. Keating, you have very similar qualities, but between you and me, for right now, I'd rather sing praises to her. She's your guest and, as old school, I try putting the guest in the limelight. One last thing, i love it when she first mentions "Einstein," points to the Einstein bobblehead, and casually says "Oh yeah, him again." Dr. Keating, thank you for being you and having such an awesome woman on your video. Sometimes, as in this case, the whole >>> the sum of the parts. I am not worthy.
Sabine Hossenfelder is a great educator. Brian Keating MOST DEFINITELY needs to learn from her.
I am totally amazed at how much _emotion_ there is in this video. Science is about truth, yet this discussion is about how scientific developments make people βfeelβ from start to finish. Explains the popularity.
The new students I'm seeing recently have the social skills of someone brought up in a cage in a basement.
