The problem with AI is that people use it to outsource their understanding, while they should use it to help them understand better or do stuff they already understand.

If you still have to pay a Dev you're doing too much vibing and not enough coding.

This is super helpful to me. Still trying to figure out how to structure my class and classroom conversations to emphasize/enhance learning to code and make sure students can use AI as a tool, not a crutch. “Never use the tool to make something you couldn’t.” I think they’ll get this.

Dude this video is so helpful. It actually made me realize I'm pushing for the vibes instead of learning during my teen years.

It's funny how we went full circle. People created code that can be interpreted by the computer. And now, the computer is writing the code that people should be able to interpret.

The worst thing anybody using AI to code is if you dont even know it is doing, at least have some basic knowledge and then let it help you

These new AI tools are like getting a bulldozer when all you had before was a shovel. "I can dig a way bigger ditch, way faster!" It isn't going to eliminate the need to know the right spot for the excavation, or to know why to dig in the first place. These are new kinds of power tools, they still require expertise to apply correctly. They are the lathe to our hand-carving tools.
