I'm 72 years old, will be 73 in July. I snowboard, mountain bike , swim and do all kinds of heavy duty yard work. I move all day long and hardly ever sit down in the course of the day. I live in a three story house so I'm up and down the stairs all day. Do OMAD and have been on a no sugar, no alcohol low carb for 4 years. Diet is mostly carnivore and I do have a few cheat days in the year where I eat brick oven pizza which I absolutely love. and an occasional bagel with cream cheese. I agree 100% with what you say since I have seen my very sedentary husband decline physically and mentally over the years. I definitely see that the less you do , the worse you get. Add a bad diet to a sedentary lifestyle and the result is actually deadly. In addition to eating very healthy I try to avoid eating out since I do not trust the quality of food you get served at restaurants or the cleanliness of the places.
I was very active, and after a bad accident I wasn't able to hardly move for 3 months. It was terrible. I can attest to everything you said in this video. Finally starting to be able to walk again. As soon as I was able to get walk to the car, after about 6 weeks, I started swimming because I couldn't walk more than 25 yards. Even though I could only use my arms it was still a big help mentally and physically. My prayers go out to everyone who is suffering with pain, disabilities, and all other health issues.
This is a warning call to me... sitting 8-14 hours per day

I am a retired MD and health "nut". This video is the most important video on health maintenance I have ever seen. I knew that maintaining muscle and brain function was important. This video ties it all together. In the 1970's I recall a National Geographic issue that stated there were three areas of the world where people routinely lived to over a hundred years old. The one common feature of these places was they were all mountainous and to get around people had to walk up an down hills and mountains. They mentioned one woman over a hundred who even smoked cigarettes but she moved every day. I am now over seventy. This video has changed my life for the better. I was beginning to feel tired all the time. Since watching this video, I have upped my physical activity a lot and with every passing day I feel more and more invigorated. Thank you Dr. Ekberg!
After being in Intensive care for three weeks I lost a lot of my muscle. I am 66 and seeing this made me very depressed. I have gone through many months of rehab and can finally walk again. I thank Christ I am still alive.

Put activity back into your life. Just as the doctor ordered. Excellent presentation, you nailed it in so many ways. It's a spiritual journey as well.
I know of people who've not moved for 30 days. They're called "Pennsylvania drivers sitting at a stop light"
