But... Steven's gem is a diamond, literally a piece of pure carbon.
I'm almost positive that Pearl describes their bodies as being made of "hard light" at some point. This "hologram, but with mass" isn't necessarily the same weight as a human that size, and certainly not a rock. What we do know is that this body is in some ways brittle, more resistant to damage than a human but will shatter, "poof" rather than healing.

On one hand, I'm glad Film Theory is finally covering Steven Universe. On the other, this is some basic stuff you can pick up on in the show, especially the fact that their bodies are made of light, apart from their gems.
Ah yes, diamonds the famously silicon based gemstone.
Glad that the fans are adding actual facts about the lore and correcting/ debunking this theory
this is like watching someone talk about a show you recommended to them but they almost interpret half of it wrong💔
