In 1964 as a high school student I wrote a paper : Do viruses cause cancer ?” I was doing original research ( designed/ conducted by me) at that time with a medical center in Pittsburgh. ( teratogenic effects of chloropromazine/ Holtzman rats) Went on to become a clinical diagnostic microbiologist. So, over 60 years ago I was thinking about this potential relationship. Over the years wondered why there hasn’t been more emphasis on the subject. Prostate cancer - a team discovered a retrovirus - XMRV. But it was associated with a mouse retrovirus that was possibly passed thru vaccines that used mouse tissues/ cells for manufacture. Whoops - journal article retracted, researchers vilified. So ...

I was 49 when diagnosed. My father had colon cancer so I tested early. The cancer was small enough and early enough that surgery took care of it. I have been tested quite frequently through blood tests and procedures since.

This same paradox also exists in LIPIDS, Around half of the people that have a heart event or die of a heart event have high LDL and the other half have low LDL. So that needs to be further explored, that indicates that LDL is not the defining factor at all.
