So me not listening to my wife tell me that cooking my eggs and potatoes in bacon grease is going to kill me is now justified?
Not only seed oils but sugar,and High Fructose Corn Syrup! They are in EVERYTHING!!!😡😡😡

You know my Gram never subscribed to canola oil as the "heart healthy" oil back in the day when they 1st came out with it marketed as such. Her and my grandfather were both gardeners and he was an industrial machinist. They were aware that canola oil is a further refined version of rapeseed oil<--an industrial lubricant that happens to come from a plant in which ALL parts are toxic to humans. 😳 So wtf right? Lol heart healthy me arse
I've started learning about nutrition before I became a RN. I went to nursing school years later thinking that nutrition was an important part of the education. I was shocked to learn that there was very little nutrition education despite the rigorous anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology parts of the educational track. I spoke with a few MD doctor friends and they also confirmed that lack of nutritional education they received during their education. Basically, a lot of this information has been known for quite some time, in addition to the incredibly harmful effects of sugar & processed foods in our diets. It's also widely known that government food guidelines, in addition dietary research studies have been greatly influenced by corporate interests. Much of this research appears to be specifically funded to obscure and muddy nutritional research guidelines. Bottom line, eat real food & if you consume fats-which you should, eat animal fats, or natural plant fats like avocado, coconut or olive oils.
I discovered this years ago. Completely removing vegetable seed oils from my diet was an important part to curing my autoimmune condition.
There is no way people are eating the same amount of calories today then back in the day. Processed foods and sugars are high in calories and low in satiety making it difficult to remain under the benchmark of 2200-2000
During the pandemic I got a job at a UPS warehouse. I worked 10-12 hours a day,. I lost 45 lbs in 4 months. I was down to 145, eating 5000-6000 calories a day and couldn't gain weight. As soon as I quit a year later. I went back to 2000 calories a day and also went back to 190 lbs in about 6 months. Get the heart going, get the muscle up and get off the couch
