Naval is a Harmonic combination of: - wisdom - intelligent - success status yet humble - sensible and profound - kind and good. God bless him.
Some people only acept that car crash is bad after sufering one and losing a leg.
"Ultimately, you will end up wherever is acceptable to you." Naval Ravikant on his ability to walk away in situations that are not acceptable to him.
I rarely if ever felt free to do as I wish as a child because I was often punished for being honest and authentic, that goes hand in hand with being autistic. So I developed the need to change others, namely my parents or bullies in order to get to do anything at all that I wanted since their decisions dictate my freedom. Bloody hell, is this difficult to unlearn, it's the scoliosis of my character and I keep hurting myself and others because of it. Unrelated, but grats on the 3.5 mil, Chris!
The real game isn’t winning on stage. It’s staying whole behind the curtain. Perfection is just another form of ego — disguised as ambition. You can grind yourself into greatness and still feel hollow. Or you can slow down, be kind to yourself, and build something real. Naval said it best: Freedom isn’t needing to win. Self-kindness isn’t weakness. It’s wisdom with a soft voice. And Chris’s conversation with Naval was one of the few that didn’t just ask questions — it listened. A rare, thoughtful dialogue.
Happiness is a skill. Get skillful at it, find others who are skillful at it, resonate with those people. Dont waste your energy on people who choose to stay unhappy or negative. Happiness can be found in any place, regardless or abundance of resources or level of society. The question is can a person be happy and fulfilled by their own nature with the least amount or (ideal) no conditions? Become this and find others.
