The fact that companies that pay to burn AI tokens didn't think this would be a massive problem just goes to show the level of incompetence in modern companies.
This really does feel like measuring developers by lines of code spewed forth.
Tokenmaxxing is what happens when business idiots push AI to find a use case for a tech that has no use case. Chatbots are not actually good at much. Agents don't know how to do things. And you can't fire your employees to replace them with agents who don't know. But it is going to be fun to watch it burn.
Guess they finally lost enough money from pushing out AI slop into production taking down us-east-1
This is SO FKNG HILARIOUS! "Do this do this!!!" [Token maxing] "WAIT !!! DON'T DO THAT!!!" [also token maxing]
My question is when any of the colossally incompetent executives who pushed any of this will be held accountable for their failures.
I'm gonna predict the future: The next headline will be that Amazon employee "AI" usage falls off cliff. It will be under 10%
PizzaMaxxing .. 🍕 sounds good 👌
"use it, but don't use it.. clear?"
Just imagine where we could get if leadership focused on 'outcome maxing'. Happy customers, reliable products, cost effective solutions. Oh the insanity!
