I've known people like in Story 1. If OP goes to dinner, he'll ask for more dinners. People who can't deal with guilt, it's never enough. You can forgive them 100 times, and they'll still feel the same. All you'll teach him is if he acts guilty, you'll go out with him. You give him an inch, and he'll try to take a mile. Stand firm.
"You're being too harsh on him" Idk I think pushing Op into oncoming traffic and into water when knowing they can't swim was harsher
"Forgiveness doesn't mean we're friends." TELL EM, SISTER!
Why do cheaters think saying, "it meant nothing" makes it better? No, it makes it even worse. You ruined our marriage for absolutely NOTHING and you find that a good thing?
Trying to bully someone into forgiving you for bullying them previously is CRAZY.
3:26 Too harsh on him??? This guy almost made you LOSE YOUR DAUGHTER. The audacity to ask OP out is astronomical. You kinda do deserve to live with the guilt of knowing you almost made someone leave earth, especially when it is obvious that you haven't changed one bit.
Husband: the affair was a mistake. Op: No, me loving you was a mistake
Nobody owes anybody friendship, whether they bullied you in the past or not. But especially not if they bullied you in the past.
Bully gets 5/5. He pushed her in a like when he KNEW she couldn’t swim. He’s repeatedly physically assaulted her. She attempted to off herself because of him and almost died, spending 11 days in a coma. He’s the worst of the worst.
Having an affair or cheating in any way is (or in my opinion, should be) one of the unforgivable offenses in a marriage. Cheaters don't deserve a redemption arc.
